OG Heritage Wax – 6 oz Metal Tin | Original Family Formula

$15.95Price

For the things worth caring for.

Some things earn their place.

The table your family has gathered around for years. The hand plane that still does its job. The boots that have been through hell and aren't done yet. The dresser somebody else gave up on. The piece you just finished making and hope someone will still be using long after you're gone.

OG Heritage Wax was made to care for those things.

Our founder, George, originally made it for his own antique tools. More than 20 years later, we're still making the same family formula because it does exactly what he wanted it to do.

It cleans, nourishes and protects while revealing what was there all along: the grain, depth, warmth and character of the material itself.

It isn't a stain. It doesn't cover the wood or make it into something it isn't. Some woods will deepen in color, much the way they do when touched with water. That's the wood you're seeing.

Just richer. Warmer. Alive again.

  • How to use it

    And it's forgiving.

Apply a little. Work it in.

Let the piece tell you what it needs.

Most pieces are ready to buff right away. Old, dry or weathered wood may want a little more wax and a little more time to drink it in.

    Then buff it clean.

You'll get a feel for it quickly. That's part of what makes OG so forgiving.

Just don't let it dry completely before buffing. If you do, apply a little more wax to soften it and buff again.

    That's it.

  • Made for keeping things going

Furniture. Antiques. Tools. Turned pieces. Carvings. Leather. Metal. Things you've restored. Things you've made. Things somebody made long before you got here.

A little goes a long way. And on lightly handled pieces, that care can last for years.

Reapply when the piece tells you it needs you.

    Not because a calendar does.

  • What's in it

Our proprietary wax blend, boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits.

That's the formula George developed for himself.

    It worked.

    So we left it alone.
